Our yard is like a box of chocolates.....

you never know what you're going to find!
I don't know what kind of naughty kids lived here before we moved in over a year ago, but they have made life interesting!
When we first moved in, we found all sorts of interesting things inside the house- pieces of G.I. Joes in the various heat vents/ducts, barbie heads (yes, just the heads), cigarettes stuffed everywhere(ewwh!), plastic beads,... I could go on and on. Since we moved in (during a snowstorm) in December, we had no idea what lay in store for us in the yard.
I really wish I had of taken pictures last summer. I would bet that we found an entire 100 piece Mega Block collection stuffed into the flower beds and lawn. Skott managed to find almost the entire collection of the cast of "Cars" movie buried, and I mean buried, in the grass. And don't even get me started on what was underneath the two porches.
It became a fun little joke. Whenever one of us would find another buried treasure, we would creatively place it somewhere that the other was sure to find it. A competition was born on who could find the most Mega Blocks (I think Skott is ahead but he had an advantage since I was gone all summer).
My nephews came over one day last fall and really scoured the lawn and fire pit area for junk. We thought we had seen the last of the Mega Blocks and cars....
until the snow started melting this spring.
I mean really, where are they coming from?
This is what we have found so far, and that's without mowing the lawn or raking all the leaves.
Mario head anyone?

Oh my heck, that is hilarious! It's like what you would find at my house and yard, if we lived there before you (minus the barbies and cigarettes of course!)When we were rearranging last week, I found so many matchbox cars and marbles and gameboy toys in every room. Boys....
btw, do you have any of the "cars" movie cars still? :)

Ah yes - our future owners will find various items in our yard. There are several glass jars filled with items that were "time capsules" the kids put together and buried in the yard. There is even one in the wall of the basement bedrooms if someone ever decides to tear that wall out! There will be various bones to, birds, lizards, etc... that have died... We found broken pieces of china in the ground when we moved it, an old lady lived there before us, no kids I guess.
