Fourth of July sightings

We spent the fourth of July in Baileys Harbor, Door County with Justine, Kelly and family. It was so much fun! The campsite was wonderful and we loved being a mile from the harbor, parade, and all the activities.

Skott's traditional fourth of July shoes. He has worn them every year for over five years on Independence Day. I love them.
This is one of those "you had to be there" moments. I actually didn't grab the camera soon enough because I was laughing so hard.... but this is Kelly and Skott trying to stuff a fully inflated queen sized air mattress through the door of the tent. -think of a great dane dog trying to fit through the cat door.... Everyone, including many campsites around us, got a good laugh! But they got it to fit!

I think I will save this picture of Max until his high school graduation, or his first date, or something equally embarassing! This is the cargo net from the tent that he is wearing.

The sign of a good summer

There have been quite a few hectic weekends coming home lately. I haven't been online much to blog. This morning Skott is making me breakfast at the computer (similar to breakfast in bed) so I can get caught up on a few things.
Kelly and Justine said I have to post this:

"Signs of a Good Summer"
It really has been a good summer so far. I am staying on at Cedar Creek until Aug. 28th. I can't believe there is only five more weeks left before I head back to school!

Skott getting creative.... again!

This is one of Skott's latest artistic creations. I honestly don't know where he finds the time among all the overtime he works and taking care of everything while I am gone all week.
This is an old crate he found at the antique schoolhouse in Hixton. He turned it into a footrest for my dad for his birthday. It is designed so the lid can open to serve as storage as well.
