Selling our home

For those of you that didn't see my facebook post, we have put our house on the market due to the job search in the Eau Claire area proving futile.  We have to be able to expand my job search nationally and because of the depressed housing market, we decided the first step would be to sell the home.  We don't know how long this will take.  Our realtor told us to expect 100-200 days average.

It has been REALLY hard keeping the house spotless!  hahaha
but seriously,
working night shift is not conducive to trying to sell a home.

Many a day we wake up after a couple hours sleep and head out to the parks to kill time during a showing.  Plus side:  we have gotten out more and enjoyed nature.  Down side:  taking the dogs out in this horrible humidity.

Here's a couple shots from last week:

Skott took about six pictures of me and Izzy and in all of them she is licking my coffee mug.  Hmmmm, that wouldn't be due to the fact that there was some Rumchata added to the coffee?  She is such a lush....

Here's a link to our listing:

Preparing to sell a house is definitely stressful. I hope that all your efforts have paid off and that the house has been sold now. You’re right about the housing market teetering on the edge of a knife at this point. Because money is harder to earn, a lot of people are letting go of properties. But not a lot of people are buying houses in an effort to save on money. I think the housing market will turn around some time in the future though.

It’s been two years now, I guess the house has already been bought and you’re enjoying your new house. It’s nice that you’re open to many possibilities, like expanding your job search nationally. I hope by this time, you already have a job that fits your interest and you still have time to go out and enjoy nature. :)

@Drew – Good news to those affected by recession, especially to the real estate sector, since there is a significant improvement in the recovery of the said sector. I guess those who would want to sell their properties now have the time to renovate their house this year and sell it on 2014. The recovery of real estate will be better next year, so it’s going to be the best year to sell your property.
